Wesley Thompson

Wesley Thompson is a native of Florence,  Alabama. He is the senior pastor and teacher at Bethel Colbert Missionary Baptist Church and previously served as a youth pastor and interim pastor in his eleven years of ministry. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Alabama and with a master’s of divinity degree from Mercer University. He is currently pursuing a doctor of ministry degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center. He has worked as a college admissions recruiter and adjunct professor. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., NAACP, the Academy of Preachers, and various community service organizations. He is married to Le’Tanndra Thompson and they have one son, Miles Thompson.


Things could not have been going better for Wesley and Tanndra Thompson. They were two months pregnant expecting their first child, both of their careers were taking off, and they were finally establishing themselves as young professionals in the booming city of Atlanta. Life was at its best, until at the snap of a finger, it all came crashing down due to a sudden diagnosis of a rare brain disorder.
